THE BEAUTY OF ESSENTIAL OILS
I'm sure you've heard everyone going on and on about the beauty of essential oils. My first experiment with essential oil was when I was 16 years old at a young woman church activity. We were taught how to make bath salts. What really stayed with me was the Lavender smell, so refreshing and soothing. I fell in love. It was then that i started learning more about essential oil and their benefits. I now use them on my skin and hair, because I wanted to keep my skin and face from chemicals by incorporate essential oil into my beauty regiment.
Although essential oils are known for their therapeutic use like mood balance, energizing or help with sleep, they can also be a good beauty hack.
Here are oils you can incorporate into you beauty routine
Grow lashes grow
A calming oil. They are mostly used on irritated skin for muscle tension, headaches to calm and relax the mind to reduce stress and to promote restful sleep.
Beauty tip: Add lavender to your mascara, to keep it free from bacteria. Also makes the mascara to last longer and promotes eyelash growth. Also apply on scalp if you have dandruff problems. Just all lemon, peppermint and olive oil.
Bumps and spots
This oil naturally kills bacteria, making it a top choice to fight acne causing bacteria.
Beauty tip: Apply it on your pimples using your fingertips. Also it fights nail fungus and bug bites. A mixture of Tea Tree and Frankincense can clear blemishes or dark spots on your skin. PS. It stings.
Is packed with anti-oxidants, minerals and hair moisturizing vitamins and fatty acids.
Beauty tip: Apply Argan oil to your scalp and massage it with the tip of the fingers. Apply also to your hair from root to tip. Argan oil is a dry oil, so it absorbs fast. Avocado and Castor oils are also good for thirsty hair.
Sweet Almond Oil
You’ve heard that to get youthful skin you must exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Instead of spending a lot of money on exfoliating creams and scrubs, try Sweet Almond Oil. It gets rid of dead skin cells and lighten tough dark spots that are caused by the sun.
Beauty tip: Apply Sweet Almond oil to your face and leave it overnight. Rinse with cool water in the morning and pat dry. You can also add it to your body lotion or apply on your skin for that skin glow and shine. Also great for dark circles around your eyes.
Most of this oils can be found at your local health shops .
